my mom told me
Topic: thought of the day

my mom told me today,

"these parents set their kids out to be who they want them to be, and not who the kids want to be. it just makes me wonder how they go about their lives. if they all have their life planned for them, they have no time to think for themselves, no time to dream their own dream."

if these people are told what to do, what to say, and not told how to act or speak for themselves. do they really know what to think, by themselves or is the work already done for them?

it's one thing to have a dream, it's another to be living it.

i think you push through it and become your own person more than ever when your parents are telling you what to say, wear, think, feel and embrace all the time. my mom is/was such a controlling person and that behavior pushed me so far away from all her ideals, thoughts and beliefs.

I believe u can go one of 2 ways all depends on teh type of person u r.

If ur strong, and focused on ur values, ur dreams, ur goals then ur gonna be like dave and push them away and do ur own thing

but if ur too weak to think on your own or sometimes too lazy u just do what ur parents have instilled in you

and rlly become a dependent person, relying on others
